Graston Technique
Pinnacle Physical Therapy is one of the few area rehab centers trained in the Graston Technique. Utilizing six contoured stainless steel instruments, soft tissue dysfunctions can be elevated and treated. The technique often works better than conventional treatments. Common conditions include plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, scar tissue, myofasciitis, heel spurs, achilles tendonitis, cervical and lumbar pain. Learn more

Sportsmetrics and ACL Rehabilitation
The Sportsmetrics program is a preventive and post operative ACL reconstruction program developed by the Cincinnati Sportsmedicine and Research Foundation led by renown Orthopedic Surgeon Frank Noyes MD. The methods of rehabilitation and training are based on some of the most advanced research and outcomes based studies in the field of Orthopedics. Our facility is one of the few certified Sportsmetric sites in the Northeast.
Post Surgical Shoulder Programs
We have extensive experience rehabilitating post surgical shoulder problems including anterior shoulder instability, multi-directional complex repairs, acromioplasty , labral tears and rotator cuff repairs. Our training includes courses with Kevin Wilk PT, renowned Extremity Therapist and programs/ protocols established by one of the nations leading Sports Orthopedic Surgeons James Andrews MD from Alabama.x
Spine Stabilization Programs
At Pinnacle PT we offer a progressive outcome based spine stabilization program which is customized based on individual case presentations. Emphasis is placed on learning routines at the clinic and taking home self care regimens to supplement office visits. Your exercise program may be accompanied by manual techniques including massage, soft tissue mobilization, manipulation, and trigger point dry needling. Our staff will provide a written home exercise program for you from our computerized software program to guide you towards an independent program.
Hand and Upper Extremity Injuries and Conditions
Starting in September of 2007 we have added a Certified Hand Therapist to our offerings. This allows our clinic to work with a variety of post operative and non-operative hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions including carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, arthritis or trauma. Our CHT is able to design and implement exercise programs to increase motion dexterity and strength, provide splint fabrication and/or help train in daily life skills through adapted methods and use of equipment.
Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue are understood at our clinic. Our focus is on education and treatment. Patients are taught self care techniques including the use of heat and cold, trigger point therapy, stretching and flexibility programs, strengthening through isometrics and isotonic exercise and activities of daily living are reviewed. Patients are educated about the local resources for self care and treated with compassion.

Trigger Point Dry Needling
Dry Needling is a technique used by physical therapists to treat myofascial pain that uses a dry needle, without medication or injection, which is inserted into areas of the muscle known as trigger points. A trigger point describes a taut band of skeletal muscle located within a larger muscle group. Trigger points can be tender to the touch and can refer pain to distant parts of the body. Physical therapists utilize dry needling with the goal of releasing/inactivating the trigger points and relieving pain and releasing muscle tension.
Our Tools
We have state of the art modalities including heat, cold, paraffin, ultrasound, electrical stimulation and traction. We stress functional training activities and utilize the Cybex functional trainer to return patients to full function .Our space has over 4,000 square feet to provide the needed area to challenge our patients.
Physical Therapy Discharge Program
Your Therapy fees include complimentary use of our facilities after you discharge. Your Therapist will set-up a gym program for you at the end of your therapy and you can continue your program and use our equipment and facility. This will help you reach your optimum level of fitness and goals.
